Welder - Fire & Safety

A welder is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components used in fire suppression systems, fire trucks, and related safety equipment. This role involves reading blueprints, operating welding equipment, ensuring welds meet safety and quality standards, and potentially supporting pipe fitting and system maintenance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Fabrication and Assembly**:
- Construct metal structures and components such as piping, brackets, and supports
**2. Blueprint Interpretation**:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Ensure accuracy in fabrication and assembly as per design requirements
**3. Equipment Operation**:
- Operate welding machines, power tools, and torches
- Perform welding in various positions: flat, vertical, and overhead
**4. Quality Control**:
- Inspect welds for strength, penetration, and appearance
- Make adjustments or repairs as necessary to meet quality standards
**5. Safety Compliance**:
- Follow all safety protocols strictly
- Use and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
**6. Maintenance and Repair**:
- Assist in the upkeep and repair of fire suppression equipment and systems
- Perform welding repairs on pipes, tanks, and other components
**7. Collaboration**:
- Coordinate with engineers, pipefitters, and other team members
- Ensure timely and accurate project completion
**8. Material Handling**:
- Lift, move, and position heavy or awkward metal materials and components
**9. Record Keeping**:
- Maintain logs of completed work, materials used, and quality inspections
**10. Troubleshooting**:
- Identify and resolve issues related to welds, equipment, or material quality
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Welding Proficiency**: Skilled in MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
