Introduction:
What will you be doing?

Software Engineering & DevOps
- Responsible for Performance test delivery of projects for quality and engineering requirements.
- Work with systems development teams to validate the performance of the product delivered to the stakeholders as per requirement.
- Responsible for developing the Performance Test plan ensuring it is updated and base lined to reflect changes to the project risk profile, schedule, testing processes etc.
- Create Performance Test artefacts like Test Plan, Test Report, Test Scripts, Test Data, etc.
- Implement innovative and creative methods for testing with Test Program RAIDS identified, maintained regularly and mitigated.
- Reviews the Test Environment Specification and Coordinates with the Test Environment Manager
- Alignment to defect management process for the programme ensuring the process is followed and correct priorities / severities are assigned.
- Assessing the impact of changes on testing and providing feedback to the programme of impact analysis
- Evidence test execution and defects to support the S05 Barclays Agile Change Lifecycle (BACL) Governance or Lean Control tool (LCT)

What we’re looking for:

- Performance testing tools - Performance Center, LoadRunner. Protocols - Web HTTP/HTML, Web Services, REST.
- In depth understating of AWS cloud services and performance testing strategies for various AWS services. Hands on practice on performance testing of lambda functions, API gateways, etc.
- Knowledge on Boto3 framework and making use of it for performance testing of AWS components.
- Monitoring/Profiling tools - AWS CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Perfmon, Ganglia, etc.
- Understanding of stubbing or simulating end points and when to use. Ability to set up virtualization services/framework with available tools.
- Ability to write custom code wherever standard functions/tools not available.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Monitoring/Profiling tools - JProfiler, JMC, JVisual VM, etc.
- Performance Engineering - AWR analysis, GC, Heap & Thread dump analysis
- Languages - C, Java, Python, Golang, etc. Databases - Oracle, MySQL
- Experience of Performance testing of API’s
- Knowledege of Service virtulaization using CA DevTest.
