A bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 5+ years of work experience with career progression in the field of instructional design, including significant experience in designing and deploying training solutions in large organizations
- Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Demonstrated experience developing self-paced eLearning curriculums, storyboards, job aids, online tutorials, assessments and print-based materials
- Solid knowledge of course development software such as Adobe captivate, Articulate storyline, VYOND etc.
- Demonstrated ability to assess training effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders and leaders
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
- Excellent project management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Solid knowledge on any learning management system (Cornerstone Preferred)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Basic HTML and JavaScripts programming knowledge for xAPI
- Basic project management skills including, planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, working with stakeholders, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results

The team’s primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog and reduce defects.

The Retail Business Service (RBS) Training team builds people capabilities to deliver great customer experience. We are a team of passionate learning professionals innovating to build people skills. As an Instructional Designer you will be responsible to design, develop and evaluate training to provide a great learning experience to a global audience. You will need to deliver results in a fast paced and ambiguous environment, invent and simplify to develop new solutions, earn trust of stakeholders and insist on highest standards to make learning easy and engaging for our employees. You will own parts of larger or complex programs and may also own a smaller training need end to end. Responsibilities
- Perform needs and task analyses, scope projects, and evaluate existing resources to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the learning needs our employees in multiple global locations
- Design, develop and deploy engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
- Create storyboards to showcase instructional graphics and the user interface
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
- Create tests, quizzes, and other assessments to ensure learner understanding and performance
- Maintain project documentation and course folders
- Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate
- Experience with emerging tech trends for content creation (e.g. gamification, virtual reality, augmented reality and xAPI)
- Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator or other adobe creative products)
- Extensive HTML and JavaScripts programming knowledge for xAPI
