The RTO Executive for Gemopai Electric Scooter manufacturing company will be responsible for managing the interaction between the company and the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to ensure compliance with transport regulations and requirements for electric scooters. This role involves overseeing the registration, licensing, and regulatory approval processes, while also maintaining up-to-date knowledge of government policies and procedures related to electric vehicles (EVs).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Vehicle Registration & Documentation**:

- Coordinate with RTOs for the registration of electric scooters and ensure all necessary documentation is processed efficiently.
- Facilitate the submission of required documents for the homologation (certification) of electric scooters under the applicable Motor Vehicle Rules.
- Ensure the issuance of Vehicle Registration Certificates (RC), Fitness Certificates, and permits as per RTO guidelines.
- **Licensing & Permits**:

- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements for manufacturing and selling electric scooters, including obtaining necessary permits, approvals, and licenses.
- Work with RTO to facilitate the issuance of driving licenses (DL) for customers, including promoting the process for riders of electric scooters.
- Ensure proper documentation for type approvals, roadworthiness certificates, and other regulatory paperwork for EV scooters.
- **Compliance with EV Regulations**:

- Monitor and implement government regulations and policies related to electric scooters, including battery safety standards, vehicle performance, and environmental norms.
- Ensure that all products manufactured by the company meet the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and other national or regional standards for EVs.
- Track updates in government policy and new regulations impacting the EV sector, including subsidies, incentives, and tax benefits.
- **Coordination with RTOs**:

- Act as the primary point of contact between the manufacturing company and various Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) for approval, registration, and compliance processes.
- Provide guidance on the technical requirements for RTO inspections and ensure compliance with the applicable vehicle and environmental standards.
- **Inspections & Certification**:

- Collaborate with RTO inspectors to ensure that electric scooters pass mandatory inspections related to safety, emission standards, and roadworthiness.
- Ensure all EV scooters are tested for compliance with Indian government regulations (e.g., ARAI certification) and facilitate the process of getting fitness certifications for new models.
- Manage documentation related to vehicle fitness and emissions testing, ensuring compliance with local environmental laws.
- **Customer Interaction & Support**:

- Provide guidance to customers on the registration and licensing process for electric scooters, including information about permits and documentation requirements.
- Work with the sales and customer support teams to ensure that all necessary RTO-related paperwork is handled effectively and promptly.
- **Collaboration with Government Authorities**:

- Work with government bodies and transport agencies to ensure smooth integration of electric scooters into the public transportation ecosystem.
- Stay updated on government initiatives, such as the FAME India Scheme, aimed at promoting electric vehicle adoption and ensure the company is eligible for any available incentives or subsidies.
- **Reporting & Documentation**:

- Maintain detailed records of all vehicle registrations, permits, licenses, and approvals obtained from the RTO.
- Prepare reports on the status of electric scooter registrations, licenses issued, and other RTO-related activities for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that all documents related to the company’s electric scooters are accurate, complete, and compliant with RTO guidelines.
- **Training & Education**:

- Educate internal teams (e.g., sales, service, and production) on RTO-related processes and legal requirements for electric scooter registration and compliance.
- Stay updated with changes in government policies and RTO requirements, and disseminate information to relevant stakeholders within the company.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Transport Management, Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical), Public Administration, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-3 years of experience in handling RTO processes, preferably in the automotive or EV sector.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of Indian Motor Vehicle Act, electric vehicle regulations, and RTO procedures.
- Familiarity with EV-specific compliance, including battery standards and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with RTO officials, customers, and internal teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple documentation and compliance tasks simultaneously.
