Junior Interior Designer

A Junior Interior Designer with Sales is a hybrid role that combines interior design expertise with sales responsibilities. In addition to assisting in the creation and implementation of interior design concepts, the Junior Interior Designer with Sales also engages in client interactions, promotes design services, and contributes to business development efforts. This role requires a balance of design skills, sales acumen, and excellent communication abilities.

**Responsibilities**:
Design Development: Work alongside senior designers to develop interior design concepts, create visual presentations, and produce design documentation using CAD software or other design tools.

Space Planning: Assist in space planning activities by analyzing client needs, understanding project requirements, and suggesting layout options that optimize functionality and flow.

Material and Finish Selection: Collaborate with clients to select suitable materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and other design elements that align with their preferences, project vision, and budget constraints.

Client Engagement: Act as a point of contact for clients, establishing rapport, and building relationships. Understand client objectives, provide design recommendations, and address inquiries or concerns throughout the design process.

Sales Promotion: Promote interior design services to potential clients through presentations, meetings, and other sales channels. Showcase the value and benefits of the design services offered by the company.

Lead Generation: Actively participate in lead generation activities, including attending industry events, networking, and leveraging existing connections to identify new business opportunities.

Proposal Development: Collaborate with the design team and senior sales personnel to prepare design proposals, including scope of work, cost estimates, and timelines, tailored to meet client requirements.

Presentation Skills: Deliver compelling presentations to clients, showcasing design concepts, explaining design rationale, and addressing client feedback to secure project contracts.

Project Management Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, suppliers, and vendors, to ensure seamless project coordination, delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Continued Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design software advancements. Seek opportunities for professional development in both design and sales domains.

**Requirements**:
Education: A bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field is typically required. Knowledge of sales or business development is advantageous.

Design Skills: Proficiency in interior design principles, space planning, color theory, and materials and finishes selection. Experience with CAD software and other design tools.

Sales Acumen: Strong sales skills, including lead generation, client engagement, negotiation, and closing deals. Ability to effectively communicate the value of design services and convert leads into clients.

Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build rapport with clients, collaborate with internal teams, and establish effective working relationships.

Creativity and Attention to Detail: Strong creative thinking abilities, with an eye for aesthetics, proportion, and spatial awareness. Attention to detail in executing design concepts and sales proposals.

Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle design projects, sales activities, and meet deadlines effectively.
