**Job Summary**: The PYP (Primary Years Programme) Assistant Teacher plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum in the primary classroom. The assistant teacher works closely with the lead teacher to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that promotes inquiry-based learning and holistic student development.

**Key Responsibilities**

- **Classroom Support**

  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing IB PYP-aligned lessons and activities.
  • Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Help maintain an organized, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assist in setting up and managing learning centers and materials.

- **Student Engagement and Development**

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture.
  • Encourage students to develop independence, confidence, and social skills.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
  • Support differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.

- **Assessment and Record-Keeping**

  • Observe and document student learning and behavior.
  • Assist in preparing student portfolios, reports, and other assessment materials.
  • Support the teacher in conducting formative and summative assessments.

- **Collaboration and Communication**

  • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher, specialists, and support staff.
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

- **Classroom Management and Supervision**

  • Assist in managing student behavior following IB PYP principles and school policies.
  • Supervise students during recess, lunch, field trips, and other school activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

- **Professional Development and Growth**

  • Engage in professional learning opportunities related to the IB PYP framework.
  • Stay updated with best practices in early childhood and primary education.
  • Be open to receiving feedback and continuously improving teaching practices.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
