Duties and responsibilities

The main duty of a Sheet Metal Worker is to produce a finished product that meets the requirements specified in a schematics sheet or blueprint and is free of defects and flaws. Specific responsibilities you may want to list in your Sheet Metal Worker job description include:

- Studying blueprints, diagrams and specification sheets to gain a thorough understanding of the work required
- Choosing the right sheet metals to use for a project based on the plan or blueprints
- Precisely measuring sheet metal and marking it at the proper places to comply with required specifications
- Using cutting tools to prepare sheet metal for use in subsequent steps in manufacturing or as-is installation
- Shaping, drilling and bending sheet metal to fabricate parts or components
- Installing metal sheets on construction sites

Pay: Up to ₹13,500.00 per month
