Assistant Fashion Designer

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Trend Research and Design Development**:

- Conducting thorough research on current fashion trends and consumer preferences, particularly in sustainable slow fashion and the brand's theme.
- Aligning slow fashion products with current trends to appeal to trendy, eco-conscious customers.
- Creating detailed sketches and illustrations for new clothing lines, ensuring they align with our brand’s commitment to sustainability.
- **Pattern Making and Material Selection**:

- Developing accurate and precise clothing patterns with the Pattern Makers for production using eco-friendly fabrics.
- Evaluating and selecting sustainable fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures for each design.
- **Production and Prototype Management**:

- Overseeing the entire production process, including fittings, pricing strategy, and ensuring eco-friendly processes.
- Managing the development of prototype samples, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- **Seasonal Collections and Mood Board Creation**:

- Designing innovative clothing for upcoming seasons, reflecting the latest trends and consumer demands in sustainable fashion.
- Developing comprehensive mood boards to convey design concepts and themes.
- **Vendor Relations and Cost Analysis**:

- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers who provide sustainable materials.
- Preparing detailed cost sheets and product lists for each design, ensuring budget adherence.
- **Coordination and Communication**:

- Coordinating with different departments and stakeholders, including marketing, production, and supply chain, to ensure cohesive execution of designs and strategies.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Educational Background**: Degree in Fashion Design from a reputable institution.
- **Professional Experience**: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a fashion designer, with a strong portfolio (sustainable fashion experience preferred).
- **Design Expertise**: Thorough understanding of fashion design principles and industry standards, with a focus on sustainable practices.
- **Creativity and Trend Awareness**: Exceptional creativity with a keen sense of the latest trends and styles in sustainable fashion.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail in all aspects of design and production.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
