Key responsibilities may include:

- **Thorough vehicle inspection**:Examining the exterior and interior of the vehicle for scratches, dents, misaligned panels, damaged upholstery, or other defects.
- **Mechanical checks**:Inspecting engine components, fluid levels, brakes, tires, lights, electrical systems, and suspension to ensure proper functionality.
- **Test driving**:Performing test drives to evaluate vehicle performance, handling, and transmission operation.
- **Minor repairs and adjustments**:Addressing minor issues like loose trim pieces, misaligned doors, or faulty electrical components.
- **Documentation**:Completing detailed inspection reports, noting any identified issues, and documenting repairs made.
- **Communication with sales team**:Collaborating with the sales team to inform them of any necessary repairs or adjustments needed before customer delivery.
- **Maintaining quality standards**:Adhering to manufacturer guidelines and quality control procedures for PDI inspections.

Required skills:

- **Technical knowledge**: Strong understanding of automotive mechanics, vehicle systems, and potential issues that may arise in new vehicles.
- **Attention to detail**: Ability to thoroughly inspect vehicles and identify even minor imperfections.
- **Problem-solving skills**: Identifying and resolving minor issues efficiently
- **Basic repair skills**: Capability to perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed
- **Good communication**: Effectively communicating findings to the sales team and customers
