**Job Description**:
Buyer coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, engineering, and project teams to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Performs cost analysis and volume planning as needed. Monitors the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned purchase requisitions to assure quality and timeliness at the best value. May gather quotations and evaluate them to determine supplier. Ability to provide solutions for supply interruptions, including finding appropriate alternate suppliers. Generate appropriate Supplier contact and correspondence. Analyze information, data, systems, and personnel to arrive at sound conclusions and decisive directives. Develops and energizes people through sharing ideas, coaching, and mentoring. Provides effective and timely verbal or written communication. Collaborate with sourcing team to execute commodity strategy and tactics.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

**PO Management**
- Responsible for parts setup in SAP including pricing update, source list update, lot size, lead time, etc.
- Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and sourcing departments to acquire supply in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Procures materials, components, equipment and services as per business needs.
- Monitors the cost, delivery schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure highest quality at best value.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders (Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, Planning, Delivery etc.) to deal with PO related issues.
- Maintain Accounts Payable PO price exception report and resolve invoicing discrepancies in accordance with company policy and system requirements.
- Monitor and process PO cancellations and holds.

**Supplier Management**
- Trouble shooting with suppliers on delivery. Have sense of urgency and priority.
- Interact with suppliers and various departments regarding procurement Policy & Procedures
- Monitoring suppliers overall performance and facilitate supplier review (Not limited to Quarterly Business Review) to continuously drive supplier performance improvement.

**Continuous Improvements.**
- Support improvement tasks/projects to make breakthrough in supply management.
- Identify purchasing best practices and drive these best practices into the Rockwell strategic sourcing toolkit.
- Implement Lean Supply Chain (Consignment/VMI etc.)

**Thorough Familiarity with Company Policies and Procedures.**
- Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.
- Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation information network.

**JOB** **REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree, Engineering degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of procurement responsibilities, preferably having manufacturing plant working experience.
- Proven track record in productivity contribution and process optimization. Lean knowledge preferred.
- Proven data analysis understanding and skills.
- Proven procurement experience within India is required, preferably have sourcing exposure.
- Travel : up to 20% (domestic India)

**COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS**

**Functional**
- Has solid knowledge and experience on procurement (e.g., supply chain, negotiation, contract, supplier management, operation etc.)
- Perform cost analysis and volume planning as needed.
- Manage current procurement procedure execution while also identifying process improvements as needed.
- Identify root cause corrective actions for issues. Lead solutions to correct issues efficiently.
- Investigate supplier performance and find effective improvement opportunities.
- Analyze process efficiency by using technologies such as Power BI, etc.
- Support sourcing team to execute commodity strategy and supplier management activities.

**Leadership**
- Manage supplier performance in quality, on time delivery, inventory development and implement cost avoidance productivity.
- Lead knowledge sharing and “best practices” across different functions and countries
- Drive successful execution of new initiatives and projects a
