**Operational Buyer**

**Optimize procurement processes and inventory management**

As an Operational Buyer at NKT, you will be responsible for conducting day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring purchases align with category strategies and procurement policies. **Ensure procurement efficiency and compliance**

Your responsibility will be to:

- Perform operational buying activities with a focus on optimizing inventory levels, risk vs working capital, and cycle times.
- Assure that purchasing activities comply with category strategies and maintain clear information flows with Category Teams or sourcing managers.
- Support Sourcing Managers and Category teams with submission of operational buying data for input to strategies and sourcing activities.
- Assure that relevant systems are updated with procurement data, such as supplier, price, payment terms, and other conditions.
- Act as an expert in SAP MM and ensure efficient delivery of the transactional component of the procurement process.

You will be part of a collaborative team, reporting to the Local Chennai Manager, and may occasionally support warehouse and operational activities/projects. This position is based in Cologne and Karlskrona.

**Experienced and process-driven procurement professional**

We are looking for a person with a process-driven personality, who can effectively discuss with business across functions. You should have a professional approach and the ability to use tools like Excel to perform data analytics.

You also have:

- A Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of working experience within Operational Procurement or Supply Chain function.
- Proficient knowledge of operating SAP procurement module.
- Fluent English in verbal and written communication.
- Experience working with European or American companies.
- Know-how within Ariba or other similar catalog and e-sourcing systems.
