**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the development and execution of the organization's social media strategy across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant networks.
- Help create and schedule engaging and newsworthy content that aligns with the organization's brand voice and journalistic standards.
- Monitor and respond to social media interactions, engaging with followers and addressing inquiries or issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with the latest social media best practices, trends, tools, and technologies relevant to the news industry.
- Support the editorial team in developing content calendars and ensuring timely delivery of social media content.
- Assist in designing and creating visually appealing graphics, videos, and other multimedia content using tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
- Help write compelling and accurate copy for social media posts, ensuring consistency in tone and adherence to journalistic integrity.
- Work closely with the editorial team, graphic designers, and other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and brand alignment.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns and content.

**Required Qualification and Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree in these fields).
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective audiences.
- Basic understanding of social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with a strong eye for design and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles and digital marketing techniques is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying updated with the latest trends in digital marketing
