**Responsibilities**:
As a **Fabric Merchandiser**, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of fabric from production to delivery, maintaining quality standards, and managing client requirements. Your role will include, but not be limited to:

- **Fabric Sourcing and Selection**:

- Liaising with fabric suppliers to source raw materials that meet quality and design requirements.
- Evaluating fabric quality, color fastness, and other technical parameters.
- Negotiating pricing and managing supplier relationships.
- **Client Communication**:

- Maintaining regular communication with clients to understand their requirements.
- Ensuring client specifications are met in terms of fabric types, quality, and quantity.
- Preparing fabric samples and sending them to clients for approval.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Keeping track of raw materials and finished fabric stocks.
- Maintaining proper inventory levels and ensuring no stock-outs or excess inventory.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensuring that the fabrics meet the required standards and specifications.
- Conducting regular quality checks on fabrics during production.
- **Order Management**:

- Managing and tracking fabric orders from receipt to delivery.
- Preparing necessary documents for order processing and shipment.
- **Sales of Fabrics**:

- Actively engaging in the sales of fabrics to existing and new customers.
- Identifying new business opportunities and expanding the customer base.
- Understanding customer needs and suggesting suitable fabric options.
- **Collaboration with Marketing**:

- Closely working with the marketing team to source new fabrics and understand market trends.
- Assisting in the development of new fabrics, keeping in line with current market demands and customer preferences.
- **Reporting**:

- Keeping detailed records of fabric orders, purchases, deliveries, and inventory.
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports on fabric usage, orders, sales, and stock levels.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Textile, Fashion Designing, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fabric merchandising or a related role in the têxtile industry.
- Strong understanding of fabric types, quality standards, and sourcing.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Attention to detail and a keen sense of quality control.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
