We are looking for an experienced journalist to join our commodities and energy team in India as a senior editor with a focus on energy transition.

This role combines enterprise reporting on climate and energy transition issues, working closely with the award-wining Bloomberg Green team, and editing, as part of the wider team. Your contributions should support and energize our coverage of one of the most exciting and dynamic economies in Asia, just as it heads into a general election.

You will have excellent writing skills and a proven reporting track record. You will write with insight and authority, giving our readers a clear view of the wide political, economic and subtle implications of India's energy and commodity challenges, and how they fit with the rest of the world. Previous commodity reporting experience is not required, but an interest in learning and telling the story from the ground up is a must, along with the passion to dig into the technical details of climate deals, energy agreements and critical mineral policies.

**We'll trust you to**:

- Drive our agenda of climate and energy transition issues in India, but also the broader commodities file, alongside the team and the India bureau.
- Break news on key policy and corporate developments.
- Produce crisp and concise edits that resonate with a wide audience - from our most sophisticated terminal users to our casual online readers.
- Maximise the resources of Bloomberg Green to produce memorable and impactful enterprise reporting
- Be innovative and think creatively about ways to make our content accessible to a diverse audience of business-savvy readers
- Innovate with story formats while promoting diversity of thought and representation throughout our coverage and across our plaforms

**You'll need to have**:

- At least 5 recent years of experience in journalism
- Experience working in a real-time news environment
- Experience at collaborating and working with regional teams to accomplish goals
- Excellent writing ability, especially enterprise journalism
- Interest in energy, commodities and climate coverage
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
