Scope Of Work*- Primary- Shared Across Functionally- Head-Expediting shall monitor expediting of Project Materials till delivery at site including requisite documentation.
- Shall be responsible for timely receipt of Project Material at site including requisite documentation as per Project Schedule.
- Evaluate and allocate workloads to the EXP depending on Project requirements.
- At strategic level, monitor and control the expediting activities by interfacing with PMT and PPM.
- Prepare Project specific “Expediting Plan” and “Expediting Procedures” with support from PPCH / PPM / EXP.
- Identify location-wise Expeditors and need for using external expediting agencies & give recommendation to PPCH.
- Approve expediting formats for various items prepared by PPM / EXP.
- Undertake regular Supplier visits for expediting, as required.
- Provide feedback to PPCH / CPO on changes required in expediting process and procedures, if any.
- Manage expediting activities in an efficient manner thereby controlling the quality, delivery & cost to meet Project Schedules
- Allocate necessary resources and assign responsibilities to various EXP.
- Relationships Management*- Internal- External- Employees, other departments- Customer, Engineering Organisations, Third party agencies, Project Management Consultants, Licensors, Vendors, Government agencies
- Key Result Areas*- Conduct weekly Project wise reviews with the EXP / Buyers for all items. Review the bottlenecks / constraints identified by EXP/ Buyers / Suppliers and time bound action plan to resolve the same so as to meet the Project Schedule.
- Issue Alerts and highlight critical issues and potential risks affecting the Supplier delivery schedule that require intervention of PPCH/PMT.
- Identify opportunities to save costs by effective planning of expediting activities
- Certify invoices of external Expeditors.
- Develop systems and processes to carry out expediting.
