**This Position**

**Responsibilities**
- Always manage the global Accounts Payable workflow for direct reports. Provides ad-hoc trouble shooting and technical assistance to Accounts Payable Specialists.
- Provides training to staff in accordance with established policies and procedure.
- Performs annual key performance reviews for direct reports.
- Responsible for vendor management including 1099 preparation, vendor invoice analysis and account reconciliation.
- Lead the timely close of Accounts Payable module and ensure that bills not entered are properly accrued for.
- Proactively assess process improvement opportunities and make value added recommendations for further procedure enhancements.
- Review vendor invoices and ensure that they are recorded timely and accurately in the ERP system with proper approvals or matching documents (PO, receipts). Verify transactions and ensure that they are coded to appropriate accounts and subsidiaries. Research and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
- Perform vendor statement analysis and maintain all vendor files. Negotiate with vendors for extended terms.
- Run weekly cash requirements register prior to scheduling check runs and submitting ACH payments to the bank.
- Review employee T&E reports in accordance with the company’s expense policies and submit payable to payroll for bimonthly reimbursements.
- Manage the company’s various credit card programs for travel and purchasing. Record expenses, obtain receipts and validate accuracy of charges.
- Track invoices and employee expenses not vouchered in AP and prepare journal entries for accruals.
- Perform properly supported intercompany journal entries.
- Perform account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Assist staff with month end close.
- Assume additional responsibilities as needed.

**Qualifications**
- BA/BS in Accounting
- 5 years supervisory and/or leadership role in an accounts payable department
- SAP, Intacct, or other ERP proficiency required.
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Ability to work independently and problem solve.
- High attention to detail and process oriented
- Ability to be flexible in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management.
