**Job Description Summary**: The HVDC business unit, within GE’s Grid Solutions business, provides design and supply services covering HVDC technology to GE’s global projects businesses, interacting with multiple project groups at any time. It is, therefore, key for GE’s HVDC business to ensure consistency in planning schedules from tender stage to project execution

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Develop standard and project detail schedules using the established tools and processes and challenges the team to ensure schedule risk is managed with a balance of competitive offering aligned to historical performance
Develops and maintains the single project schedule representing the entire project under PDG scope by integrating inputs from all engineering functions and third parties contributing to the project engineering
Ensure proper linkages in schedule to show all interdependencies between contributing parties
Ensure functional owners sign off on commitments and are made accountable for their date
Work collaboratively with other overall project planning team to ensure optimal alignment of schedule with overall schedule
Delivers a high quality schedule aligned with global standards to ensure project is accurately represented
Support for project teams to keep and organised schedules
Challenges functional owners on forecast completion dates to ensure dates are realistic
Develop Project control KPIs to monitor project progress.
Generates “what if” scenarios to optimize execution and works with project teams to evaluate feasibility
Drives functional owners to mitigate risks and follows up with functional owners on risk mitigation actions
Provide and communicate regular status reporting

Basic Skills & Desired Properties

Experience in planning activities
Mastering of involved discipline (process and tools such as smart sheet and Primavera etc.)
Strong influencing and relationship building skills
Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages
Demonstrates ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making, influences & inspires team, creates a vision and strategy, and has passion for the role

**Required Qualifications**
- For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Engineering/Technology & Program Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

**Desired Characteristics**
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
