**_ This role is responsible for responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations, ensuring smooth coordination of staff and vehicle movement. The role involves managing vendor relationships, route planning, cost optimization, adherence to compliance and safety standards, and addressing employee transport requirements. Also handle MIS reporting, monitor service quality, resolve escalations, and support in implementing process improvements for efficient and safe transport services._**
- **_Plan and coordinate daily transport operations. _**:

- **_Assign and monitor driver schedules and shifts._**:

- **_ Optimize route planning to reduce costs and improve efficiency._**:

- **_ Coordinate maintenance and servicing schedules._**:

- **_ Use GPS or transport management systems (TMS), if available to track vehicle movement._**:

- **_ Track fuel usage and mileage._**:

- **_ Ensure compliance with transportation laws and company policies._**:

- **_ Coordinate with third-party transport vendors or internal drivers._**:

- **_ Handle grievances or issues with vendors and drivers._**:

- **_ Analyze transport data and prepare periodic reports._**:

- **_ Ensure adherence to legal transport regulations._**:

- **_ Maintain documentation for audits and inspections._**:

- **_ Address and resolve transport-related user complaints._**

**Key selection criteria**
- **_ 4-5+ years’ experience in transportation_**:

- **_ Good knowledge of route planning, vendor management, and fleet coordination._**:

- **_ Understanding of transport compliance, safety norms, and statutory requirements._**:

- **_ Strong coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills._**:

- **_ Proficiency in MS Excel/transport management software for MIS & reporting._**:

- **_ Ability to handle escalations and ensure timely resolutions._**:

- **_ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders._**:

- **_ Flexibility to work in shifts/extended hours as per business needs._**:

- **_ Knowledge of local geography and traffic regulations._**
