- **Scheduling Appointments**: Manage appointment bookings, maintain appointment calendars, and ensure that there are no scheduling conflicts.
- **Administrative Support**: Perform general office tasks such as filing, data entry, mail distribution, and photocopying.
- **Managing Mail**: Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages, prepare outgoing mail, and manage courier services.
- **Maintaining Reception Area**: Ensure the front desk area is neat, organized, and presentable. This includes managing the cleanliness and appearance of waiting areas.
- **Customer Service**: Act as the first point of contact for customers and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional experience.
- **Managing Deliveries**: Track and sign for deliveries, and ensure packages are distributed correctly within the office or building.
- **Handling Payments**: In some organizations, receptionists may assist with invoicing or take payments for services or products.
**3. Skills Required**:
- **Communication Skills**: Clear verbal and written communication, including telephone etiquette.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: Ability to engage with people in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
