**Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Administrative Support**:

- Manage and organize the Chief Editor’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and other documents as required by the Chief Editor.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain the privacy of sensitive matters.
- **Communication Management**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Chief Editor and internal/external stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication within the editorial team and coordinate with other departments as needed.
- **Meeting Coordination**:

- Organize and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
- Arrange and prepare materials for editorial meetings and presentations.
- **Document and Project Management**:

- Maintain organized records and files for easy retrieval of information.
- Assist in the management and tracking of editorial projects and deadlines.
- **Travel and Event Coordination**:

- Arrange travel itineraries, accommodations, and transportation for the Chief Editor as required.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including press conferences, editorial workshops, and public appearances.
- **Office Efficiency**:

- Ensure the smooth operation of the Chief Editor’s office, including managing office supplies and equipment.
- Implement and maintain efficient office systems and processes.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: A bachelor’s degree in business administration or communications or a related field is preferred.
- **Experience**: 10+ years of experience as an executive assistant, personal assistant, or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a media or editorial environment.
- **Organizational Skills**: Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- **Communication**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with senior executives and external contacts.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- **Discretion**: Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion.

**Preferred Attributes**:

- Experience working in a fast-paced editorial or media environment.
- Familiarity with content management systems and editorial workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
