Job Summary:
The Purchase Manager will oversee the procurement activities of the company, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials, products, and services. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and coordination with internal departments to meet the company's supply chain objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Strategic Sourcing and Procurement**:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's supply needs.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and market conditions.
2. **Supplier Relationship Management**:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and quality standards.
- Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers promptly and efficiently.
3. **Inventory and Cost Management**:
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock without overstocking.
- Analyse purchasing trends and cost-saving opportunities to maximise budget efficiency.
- Develop and monitor procurement budgets and forecasts.
4. **Contract and Risk Management**:
- Review and manage procurement contracts, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including potential disruptions and supply shortages.
5. **Coordination and Collaboration**:
- Work closely with internal departments such as production, logistics, operations, finance, and quality control to align procurement activities with company goals.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support operational efficiency.
6. **Reporting and Analytics**:
- Prepare and present procurement reports, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and market trends.
- Utilise procurement software and tools to track purchasing activities and generate insights for decision-making.
- **Skills**:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
