**About the position**

The Scrum Master role is a broad customer-facing role and is critical to the success of Property & Casualty (P&C) Solutions Technology team. This role provides project management leadership across all products and solutions that the P&C Solutions team owns and/or builds. This role reports into the Engineering Leads / Program Managers for P&C Solutions.

The role will also provide support to Proof of Concept exercises and other business viability studies across all products, in addition to supporting delivery of approved IT solutions.

- Applies deep business strategy development, architecting value and operating model architecture skills to influence agendas through business insight
- Partners with our Solution teams to make bold decisions on priority issues at the intersection of business, technology and operations
- Provides deep understanding of P&C industry landscape and business options in the context of global, economic, technology and social trends

**Key Success Criteria**
- Developing trust-based relationships with senior P&C Solutions leaders and other team members / leaders across Reinsurance
- Shaping and leading business strategy and transformation engagements
- Developing compelling responses to new business opportunities
- Assessing and managing risks and issues and making adjustments as needed
- Ensuring business outcomes are achieved

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience in the P&C Insurance industry as a Project Manager or Scrum Master
- Domain knowledge of Reinsurance is nice to have
- Prior experience working in business consulting firms or product development firms preferred
- Bachelor's and/or MBA degree
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience building Software using Agile methodologies required
- Proficient using storyboards / DevOps (AWS / Azure), managing user stories and organizing Scrum ceremonies
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
- Collaborate with the Product Owner in backlog refinement, sprint backlogs definition and ensure agile ceremonies are followed.
- Professional Scrum Master / Agile certifications or PMI certifications are mandatory
