With the capacity to produce over 5,000 hammocks per day, we are among the largest producers in our category. Our mission extends beyond commerce—we are committed to social impact and sustainability, employing over 150 people, of which 80% are rural women, and operating under FSC-certified responsible forestry and GOTS-certified organic cultivation standards.
The EXIM Executive will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of the company's export and import activities. This includes ensuring end-to-end compliance with EXIM documentation, coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders (buyers, forwarders, customs, banks, regulatory bodies), and maintaining organized records in adherence to EOU and government norms. The role demands high precision, efficiency, and integrity in documentation and communication.
Export Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare, verify, and file export-related documents including shipping bills, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and BRCs.
- Coordinate with MEPZ, DGFT, EPCs, Customs, and Banks to ensure timely clearances and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and maintain EOU-specific documentation, including LUT, CT-3, ARE-1, Annexure, and job work records.
Import Coordination
- Handle import documentation including Bills of Entry, BOE reconciliations, supplier declarations, and liaise with customs brokers.
- Track inbound shipments and maintain compliance for imported raw materials (e.g., olefin fabrics, polyester yarn).
Logistics & Operations
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and CHAs to ensure timely bookings, container placements, and sailing.
- Optimize freight costs, shipping lead times, and negotiate contracts for logistics services.
Statutory Compliance & Record-Keeping
- Ensure accurate and tidy maintenance of all documentation required for audits (GST, Customs, DGFT, EOU returns).
- Maintain data and MIS reports for export incentives, foreign inward remittances, and post-shipment documentation.
Customer Coordination & Service
- Share shipment status, dispatch details, and resolve any documentation-related issues with overseas clients professionally and promptly.
- Work closely with the Sales and Production teams to align logistics with buyer delivery schedules.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Work with material suppliers and packaging vendors to ensure on-time supply for export readiness.
- Manage supplier documentation needed for end-use certificates or regulatory filings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in EXIM operations, preferably in an EOU or export-driven manufacturing setup.
- In-depth knowledge of DGFT norms, FTP guidelines, customs procedures, and export incentives (RoDTEP, DBK).
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping using Excel, ERP systems, or Tally.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance and accuracy.
