Urgent hiring Production Supervisor for Manufacturer of Pumps and Valves

Location - Bakrol, Ahmedabad
- Key responsibilities
- **Production oversight**: Supervise and coordinate the daily manufacturing operations for the assembly, testing, and finishing of pumps and valves.
- **Planning and scheduling**: Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer delivery timelines and optimize resource allocation.
- **Quality control**: Enforce quality standards and protocols throughout the production process, from the initial machining to final inspection and testing.
- Inspect products for compliance with specifications and industry standards like ASME, API, and ISO.
- Address and resolve non-conformities and quality-related issues in coordination with the Quality Assurance team.
- **Team leadership and development**:

- Guide, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Manage employee performance, including providing feedback, conducting evaluations, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- **Operational excellence**:

- Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for process improvement.
- Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.
- Oversee preventive and corrective equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
- **Safety compliance**:

- Implement and enforce all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits, address potential hazards, and report incidents.
- **Cross-functional coordination**:

- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and supply chain, to resolve production issues and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate production records, inventory levels, and labor hours for management reporting.
- Qualifications and skills
- **Education**: A bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is typically preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in the pump and valve industry, especially in assembly and testing, is a significant advantage.
- **Technical knowledge**:

- In-depth understanding of pump and valve manufacturing processes, including assembly and pressure testing.
- Familiarity with industry-relevant standards (e.g., ASME, API) and quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
