**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching Carnatic Vocal Music**:

- Provide instruction in Carnatic vocal techniques, including sruti (pitch), laya (rhythm), and gamakas (ornamentations).
- Teach traditional compositions such as varnams, kritis, and keerthanas.
- Guide students through various levels, from beginner to advanced.
- **Curriculum Planning**:

- Design and develop lesson plans based on students' skill levels and learning pace.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and competitions.
- **Student Evaluation**:

- Regularly assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Tailor teaching methods to individual learning styles.
- **Cultural Engagement**:

- Impart knowledge of the cultural and historical background of Carnatic music.
- Encourage participation in concerts, workshops, and cultural events.
- **Collaboration and Mentoring**:

- Work closely with other music faculty to ensure a comprehensive learning environment.
- Mentor students who aspire to pursue music professionally.
- **Online/Offline Classes**:

- Conduct both in-person and online classes (if applicable) using relevant platforms and tools.

**Requirements**:

- **Educational Qualifications**:

- Degree in Music (Carnatic Vocal) or equivalent formal training under an established guru.
- Certifications from recognized music institutions (optional but preferred).
- **Experience**:

- Prior experience as a Carnatic music teacher or performer is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to teach students at various levels, from beginners to advanced.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in a range of Carnatic vocal styles, ragas, and talas.
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with students.
- Patience, creativity, and passion for teaching.
- Familiarity with teaching aids such as tanpura, shruti boxes, or digital platforms.

**Preferred Qualities**:

- Ability to sing and demonstrate with clarity.
- A deep love for classical music and its pedagogy.
- Flexibility in adapting teaching methods for different learning needs.
