**Role Summary**:

- As a Finance & Accounts Executive in our life insurance company, you will be responsible for managing various finance and accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the finance team and other stakeholders to support the financial operations of the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Generate financial reports and provide insights to management on financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor budgetary performance and provide variance analysis reports. Collaborate with department heads to gather budget inputs and ensure adherence to financial goals.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other applicable taxes. Stay updated on tax laws and guide on tax-related matters.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal control processes to safeguard company assets, ensure the accuracy of financial data, and comply with financial policies and procedures. Identify control gaps and recommend improvements as needed.
- Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and reports. Assist in addressing audit findings and implementing recommended actions.
- Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and assist in the implementation of new accounting standards as applicable.

**Skills**
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and taxation.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Good understanding of the life insurance industry and related financial processes (preferred).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
