- Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science
- **Have good hands-on experience on API’s manual and automation testing using SOAP/Ready API tools - any specific tools - SOAP UI and Postman, swagger**
- Certificates of completion from various QA courses
- 8+ years of experience in a similar position - **Deeply into Insurance, mainly Life and annuities. mainly manual testing. JIRA exp. Should be able to take assignment independently. Agile is standard life cycle model followed. Important to have PAS experience. Should have good SQL knowledge. Should be able to query the db and get the results to validate.**
- **Experience in testing and quality assurance using different tools - Working knowledge of JIRA**
- Ability to find errors quickly
- Ability to maintain reports and technical documentation
- Ability to automate processes - **exposure the automation is good to have.**
- **Ownership of different databases - Mostly the SQL. Should be able to write queries and check the database. The db may vary.**
- Ability to correctly interpret test results
- Ability to plan tests - **Test strategy, planning, test case planning.**
- Implementation of tests based on customer requirements
- Prioritizing further testing options
- Development of testing tools - **Good to have.**
- Carrying out tests in already finished products
- Formation of a recommendation sheet to eliminate all problems found
- Continuous improvement of work
- Conducting regression testing
- Work on several projects at once
- Mentor team members
- Good problem solving & interpersonal skills

Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Manual Testing
- He/She will be taking care majorly to test REST & SOAP services along with testing will be added advantage.
- Responsible for regression testing also for stories developed in sprints.
- Must have worked in US Life Insurance/Annuities domain
- Should have worked on Policy Administration System
- Must be proficient with SQL queries
- Should have good communication skills to interact with project stakeholders
- Knowledge of various testing methodologies
- Knowledge of Test Management and Defect Tracking Tools (Jira, X-Ray, Quality Center)

- Experience of working in a team as well as a strong individual contributor
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Having Life insurance certifications such as LOMA will be added advantage
- Create Test scenarios and Test cases according to Technical and Functional Specifications
- Must have experience on Life Admin Systems, US Life Insurance / Annuity products
- Actively participate in analyzing requirements
- Experience in creating test plan matrix, test cases, traceability and similar documents
- Develop Test Data as applicable
- Execute tests, analyze results and report to Lead/Manager/SM
- Excellent knowledge of Agile QA/Dev processes and software development/test life cycle
- Ability to create SQL queries for test data extraction and manipulation
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills
