Network and System Admin

This role involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities across **network design, security, and system support**. You will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable network solutions, configuring and managing firewalls (FortiGate, Kerio Control), and ensuring network security through proactive monitoring and regular audits.

Additionally, you will maintain network infrastructure, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and provide desktop and systems support, ensuring smooth IT operations across the organization. Collaboration with IT teams will be key to optimizing the performance and security of network and system environments.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Network Design and Implementation**:

- Design, configure, and implement secure and scalable network solutions based on business requirements.
- Deploy and maintain network firewalls, primarily FortiGate and Kerio Control, to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure proper network segmentation, routing, and switching across the network environment.
- Collaborate with system administrators and developers to create an efficient, secure network infrastructure.

**2. Firewall Management**:

- Configure, maintain, and monitor FortiGate and Kerio Control firewalls, including rules, policies, and VPN configurations.
- Perform firmware updates, backups, and disaster recovery testing for firewall systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any firewall-related network issues or outages.

**3. Security & Monitoring**:

- Implement network security best practices to protect against threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify potential risks.
- Monitor network performance and security logs using various tools, identifying and responding to any suspicious activities.
- Maintain IPSec VPNs, SSL VPNs, and site-to-site connections to ensure secure remote access and branch connectivity.

**4. Network Administration**:

- Maintain network hardware (switches, routers, access points,NVR,Cameras), and ensure proper functioning of LAN/WAN environments.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (IP conflicts, DNS problems, bandwidth limitations) and resolve them promptly.
- Collaborate with the IT team on resolving server and network integration issues, ensuring all services run smoothly.
- Maintain and monitor bandwidth usage, ensuring quality of service (QoS) across the network.

**5. Systems Related support**:

- ** Desktop Support**:Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, including software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- ** Hardware Maintenance**: Diagnose and repair hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- ** User Assistance**: Respond to helpdesk tickets, providing timely and efficient technical support to resolve user issues.
- ** Network Troubleshooting**: Assist in resolving basic network issues, including connectivity problems, IP conflicts, and shared resource access.
- ** System Upgrades**: Manage and execute hardware and software upgrades and replacements.
- ** Data Backup & Recovery**: Support users with data backup procedures and recovery operations as required.
- ** Security Management**: Ensure that antivirus, firewall, and other security measures are up-to-date and functioning properly.
- ** Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of support requests, system configurations, and troubleshooting processes.
- ** Asset Management**: Track and manage IT assets such as desktops, laptops, and related equipment.
- ** Collaboration**: Work closely with other IT teams (network, server, and security teams) to resolve complex technical issues.
