Agm Operations

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Operations in the Plastic Moulding Industry is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the plastic moulding manufacturing processes. The role ensures operational efficiency, quality assurance, cost control, and continuous improvement within the production environment. The AGM will manage production teams, oversee machinery and equipment, coordinate with other departments, and ensure that production targets are met in compliance with safety and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Production Management**:

- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective output.
- Manage production schedules to meet customer demands while maintaining high quality.
- Ensure adherence to production standards, schedules, and manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with the production team to optimize the use of machinery and resources.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Ensure product quality meets or exceeds industry standards and customer requirements.
- Implement quality control procedures and improve product consistency.
- Investigate and resolve any quality issues or production defects.
- Work closely with the quality control team to maintain and improve ISO certifications or other industry standards.
- **Team Leadership and Management**:

- Lead, mentor, and manage production staff, ensuring efficient work practices and safety compliance.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide feedback, training, and development to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Handle staffing, scheduling, and resolve any personnel issues in the production floor.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Analyze and assess production workflows to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in operational processes.
- Introduce new technologies, machinery, or systems to enhance production efficiency.
- **Cost Control and Budgeting**:

- Develop and manage the operations budget, focusing on cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Monitor production costs and resource allocation to achieve profitability targets.
- Evaluate and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost control, productivity, and efficiency.
- **Maintenance & Equipment Management**:

- Oversee maintenance programs for machinery and equipment, ensuring mínimal downtime.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventative maintenance and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure that all equipment complies with safety and regulatory standards.
- **Health, Safety, and Compliance**:

- Ensure the workplace adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Lead the team in maintaining a safe working environment and in mitigating workplace risks.
- Ensure all environmental and regulatory requirements are being met in the production process.
- **Reporting and Communication**:

- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
- Communicate effectively across departments, ensuring smooth coordination between production, engineering, logistics, and quality control.
- Act as a liaison between management and production staff.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Implement efficient inventory management systems to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Oversee stock levels of finished goods, ensuring adequate supply to meet customer orders.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**:

- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Operations Management, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma (preferred).
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, specifically in the plastic moulding or manufacturing industry.

Pay: Up to ₹1,069,093.84 per year
