**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Instruction and Curriculum Development**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards for social sciences.

- **Student Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Assess students’ understanding and progress through assignments, tests, quizzes, and class participation.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and progress.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Establish and enforce rules and procedures to manage student behavior and ensure an effective learning atmosphere.
- Address and resolve any behavioral or academic issues promptly and fairly.
- **Curriculum and Resource Management**:

- Select and use appropriate textbooks, multimedia resources, and technology to enhance instruction.
- Plan and coordinate activities, projects, and assignments that align with curriculum objectives.
- Stay updated with current trends and developments in social science education and incorporate them into lessons.
- **Student Engagement and Motivation**:

- Foster a genuine interest in social sciences by presenting material in a relatable and engaging manner.
- Encourage students to explore social issues, historical events, and cultural perspectives critically and thoughtfully.
- Provide additional support and enrichment opportunities for students as needed.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:

- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress, behavioral issues, and other concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to support students’ overall development and address any interdisciplinary needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
- **Professional Development**:

- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices in social science.
- Reflect on teaching practices and seek feedback to improve instructional effectiveness.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Prepare and organize instructional materials, including lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
- Manage classroom resources and maintain an organized and conducive learning environment.
- Complete required administrative tasks such as grading, reporting, and documentation.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Education, or a related field.
- Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) certification or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience in teaching social sciences at the middle school level.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kannamangala, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
