PURPOSE
Ascend strives to be the employer of choice for our Team Members and a provider of choice for our customers. We are seeking an addition to our team who possesses strong communication skills, is detail oriented, and enjoys a fast-paced environment. The position is responsible for data entry, new driver screening, and overall administrative support to Compliance staff.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assess driver qualifications.
- Process DOT required documents for new and existing drivers.
- Maintain DOT driver files.
- Perform data entry in company software programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the transportation industry.
- Experience in safety and compliance preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS
- Must be detail oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technology skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others on a team and work efficiently independently and with a sense of urgency.
- Self-starter who finds opportunities for development and improvement.
- A willingness to learn Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations is a must.
- Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety.
- Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
- Proven analytical problem solving and organizational skills.
- Strong planning skills with the ability to handle multiple projects through to completion and to manage competing priorities.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATONS, & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Degree
