Role summary:We are hiring for the post of Senior Research Analyst / Research Analyst in Industry Research team for Steel & Iron Ore sectorKey Roles & Responsibilities: - Ability to promptly assess sector level changes and trends and understanding of inter-linkages with the macro economy-Ability to predict sector developments and foresee changes /issues impacting the industry-Analyse industry dynamics from all relevant angles (demand-supply, price movement, profitability, changing regulatory and competitive landscape)-Ability to forecast and provide outlook on above key parameters-Demand forecasting models based on qualitative and, when appropriate, statistical analysis-Flair to get market intelligence and skill to sense business and commercial insights-Ability to form hypothesis, validate assumptions, test based on data gathered and write a cogent and logical report-Author and publish articles to showcase thought-leadership and build franchise for the business-Support to Senior Manager/Director in making presentations to clients and at seminars/conferences-Deliver presentations to clients and internal committeesExperience: 2-4 yearsQualification: MBA (Finance) from Tier I/II Institute / CASkills: - Strong understanding of the dynamics of the domestic and global steel and iron ore sector.Strong understanding of global macro-economic factors and impact of the same on global trade dynamics-Strong analytical skills with good awareness about Indian economy and business environment-Ability to understand the impact of regulatory, policy and structural changes impacting cement sector-Ability to think out of the box and come out with innovative solutions/ideas-Ability to structure and write high-quality reports-Strong presentation and excel skills-Understanding of basic statistical techniques-Excellent oral communication and presentation skills-Positive attitude and ability to work across teams within tight deadlines
