Job description

This position will be based in Mumbai, under Pacific Carriers Limited (PCL), a company under Kuok (Singapore) Limited.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Commercially operate the fleet safely and cost effectively.
- Prepare and execute stowage plans for various cargoes, safely and efficiently.
- Track and manage voyage performance efficiently, ensuring best practices are adopted.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding in Breakbulk, Bulk & Project cargoes.
- Manage Port Operations, steering them to achieve desired results.
- Randomly inspect ships and Port Operations to ensure compliance with Company policy and standards
- Ensure that HSEQ directives are followed on the operational front.
- Manage and analyse voyage costings and derive value through meaningful savings.
- Manage Stevedores and Port vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Reviewing cargo stowage and optimizing cargo lifting, loading & unloading sequences
- Monitoring hold cleaning plans; including supply of chemicals and supervisors, manage time and cost and use technology to bring about savings.
- Planning bunker supplies and co-ordination with bunker suppliers
- Liaising with the P&I clubs, legal teams to resolve disputes

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Familiar with IMOS, Softmar.
- COC1 Master Mariner
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime or related
