- Responsibilities_
- _Provide support for the Credit Control team, as guided by the Credit Control Manager, in the retained_
- _organization and outsource provider_
- _Effective broker account management through the establishment of good working relationships with the broking partners_
- _Liaison with internal and external customers to strengthen relationships for effective management of credit control_
- _Execute query resolution and escalation by liaising with brokers and underwriters_
- _Work with the team to ensure accurate cash allocation, reconciliation, investigation, and administration_
- _Provide and assist with the review of monthly analysis and commentary to the business of the aged debt and unallocated cash positions and any data entry issues, ensuring compliance/delivery to KPIs_
- _Ensure current procedures are followed and propose improved processes in compliance with regulatory practices_
- _Understand the dynamics of Credit control with regulatory requirements_
- _Perform Credit Control task day in and out_
- _Help in updating the IT Systems from the business end (if required)_
- _Deal with any ad-hoc queries/information requests_
- _Assist the Non-tech manager with the quarterly inter-company process/settlements, communicating with Aspen Group entities and other teams around finance including the Treasury team._
- _Collate of information for internal/external auditors as required and for SOX control testing purposes in respect of all non-technical companies_
- Qualifications_
- Minimum qualifications_
- _Good communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management._
- _Understanding and knowledge of the drivers of business performance._
- _The ability to work in a global environment with a strong customer focus, with experience of proactively working with demanding customers in a flexible manner._
- _Self-starter, with the ability to work under own initiative._
- _Postgraduate in Accounting / MBA (Finance)_
- _Relevant experience in Closing & Reporting (Accounting cycle)_
- _Good working hand in data analysis, MS Excel and PowerPoint proficient_
- _Demonstrate and cultivate customer focus, collaboration, accountability, initiative, and innovation_

- Preferred qualifications_
- _Understanding of closing process for an insurance P&C company_
- _Credit Control experience in the Insurance sector desired_
- _Good understanding of London Insurance Market / Lloyd’s of London_
- _Proactive communication & High analytical skills - should be able to foresee issues and suggest solutions, with impactful data_
