**About Harsha School of Law**

Harsha School of Law, a newly established institution under Harsha Institutions, is set to commence operations in the academic year 2025-26. The institution is dedicated to delivering high-quality legal education and fostering excellence in research, advocacy, and the legal profession. The college will offer the following courses approved by the **Bar Council of India (BCI)** and affiliated with a reputed Law University:
1. **BA LLB (5 years integrated course)**

2. **BBA LLB (5 years integrated course)**

3. **B.Com LLB (5 years integrated course)**

4. **LLB (3 years)**

Harsha School of Law is seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Principal** who will provide academic leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee the overall administration of the institution in alignment with the **Bar Council of India (BCI) norms** and **Law University regulations**. The Principal will play a key role in establishing the institution’s reputation and fostering a strong foundation in legal education.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. **Academic Leadership & Curriculum Development**:

- Oversee the implementation of legal education as per **BCI norms** and the affiliated university’s academic guidelines.
- Ensure the smooth execution of the **approved syllabus and course structure** for BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB, and LLB programs.
- Introduce value-added courses, moot court training, legal research initiatives, and practical exposure programs.

2. **Institutional Governance & Administration**:

- Develop and implement strategic policies for the smooth functioning of the law school.
- Maintain compliance with **BCI, UGC, and affiliated university regulations**.
- Establish and oversee **examination and evaluation procedures** as per university and BCI guidelines.
- Ensure proper record-keeping, faculty recruitment, and student admissions align with regulatory norms.

3. **Faculty & Staff Management**:

- Recruit and mentor **qualified faculty members** with strong academic and professional backgrounds.
- Conduct faculty evaluations and development programs.
- Foster an environment of research and publication among faculty members.

4. **Student Development & Legal Training**:

- Encourage **moot court competitions, legal aid clinics, internships, and industry collaborations**.
- Guide students for judicial and legal profession opportunities, including UPSC, judiciary exams, and corporate law careers.
- Establish **legal awareness programs, conferences, and seminars**.

5. **Affiliation, Accreditation & Compliance**:

- Ensure timely **submission of compliance reports** to BCI, the university, and other statutory bodies.
- Lead efforts for **NAAC accreditation** and academic excellence.
- Coordinate with legal professionals, advocates, and judges for **guest lectures and professional collaborations**.

6. **Infrastructure & Institutional Growth**:

- Ensure the development of **moot court halls, legal research centers, digital libraries, and modern classrooms**.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to **expand academic programs** and establish new legal study initiatives.

**Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications**
- **Educational Qualification**: PhD in Law / LL.M with at least **15 years of experience** in teaching/research/administration in a recognized law institution.
- Must meet the eligibility criteria as per **BCI and Law University regulations**.
- Minimum **5 years of administrative experience** in an academic leadership role such as **Principal, Dean, or HOD** in a reputed law college/university.
- A strong **publication record in legal research** and contributions to law journals and conferences.
- Proven track record of **NAAC accreditation and legal education compliance** is preferred.

**Preferred Skills & Competencies**
- Strong leadership, administrative, and academic planning skills.
- Knowledge of legal education policies and academic framework.
- Experience in handling university affiliations and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to drive student engagement through legal aid initiatives, internships, and placement programs.
- Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
