**About the role: Virtual Medical Scribe (Billing and Audits) | Full-Time**

Nao Medical is seeking a highly skilled Billing and Chart Auditor to join our team at an exciting stage of our growth. You will be responsible for reviewing medical records for accuracy, quality assurance, or billing and insurance purposes.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Checking the accuracy of information in the patient’s progress notes and making necessary corrections.
- Properly encode the needed billing codes for each patient’s progress notes according to insurance guidelines.
- Ensure that correct procedures are being done and encoded in the patient’s progress notes.
- Review the accuracy of posted results and report if there are any discrepancies.
- Assisting the doctor/provider in filling out data and charts if in person medical scribe is absent.
- Ensure that correct laboratory procedures, diagnostic procedures and referral are being placed as requested by the provider.
- Creation of e-prescription as directed by the provider.
- Real time Medical Scribing of charts if requested.

- Excellent overall knowledge of medical terminology
- Computer Literate
