**Details of the role and how it fits into the team**

The Merchant Solutions Technology group provides the Corporate Bank with a dedicated team that capitalizes on the rapidly evolving technology industry to provide our clients new products and innovation to meet their growing needs within an Agile FinTech-like setup. We deliver innovative products such as our Digital Payment Gateway (creating an API based solution allowing Marketplaces and Merchants to streamline their payment processing and settlement activities). As part of our team, you will be responsible for technical design, coding, automated unit testing and integration and will liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Product Managers, software engineers/developers and testers regarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.

As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Act as the Solution Architect for the Merchant Solutions Tribe fostering the collaboration among cross location teams by enabling a culture of innovation.
- Assist in the adoption of modern engineering practices, design principles, integration patterns and Agile methodology across the Merchant Solutions Tribe.
- Engage with the business sponsors and stakeholders across multiple business domains and geographies to implement requirements according to agreed timelines.
- Partner with DevOps/QA on continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to ensure quality solutions are delivered to end users and provide Level 3 support when needed.

**Your skills and experiences**
- Skilled in building productive networks to drive collaboration, re-use and knowledge sharing; you also effectively & constructively communicate complex messages in a clear and concise manner
- Prior experience with Java/Java-oriented frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Kotlin), preferably with near real time event-based systems (JMS/pub-sub, streaming) and especially related to infrastructure, networks, security (e.g. OAuth/OIDC) and data/analytics technology
- Significant prior experience in building Micro-services with REST APIs as well as strong knowledge of Relational Database (SQL/PL-SQL), NoSQL (document-oriented and column-based storage) as well as in protocols, formats (HTTPS, Websockets, SOAP, JSON, XML), up to date on modern architecture design patterns and enterprise integration patterns.
- Passionate technologist with ability to deep dive into the code level with expert knowledge of the java ecosystem incl. infrastructure and ability to contribute code in POCs, MVPs or project reviews
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; German language knowledge would be a plus.
