**Program Facilitator | Location: Bengaluru**

DURGA (Dare to Understand behaviour, Respond appropriately and Guard ourselves Ably) is a citizen-sector organization registered on the 25th of March 2013. It works closely in the area of gender, gender equity and safety against sexual harassment. Through interactive and highly engaging sessions, Durga helps in understanding behaviour, responding to inappropriate behaviour in the best possible manner and to be able to get out of any situation easily. Along with ensuring that each individual is safe themselves, Durga also ensures that the spaces we occupy are safe, through various programs and initiatives

**Position**:Program Facilitator

**Location**:Bengaluru

**Role**:

- Facilitate the delivery of Durga’s programs in the organisations and institutions that we work with.
- Build and maintain a healthy and caring community among the participants in a program.
- Build and sustain open channels of communication with young people and participants from different categories.
- Provide an environment in which young people/participants feel nurtured and cared for.
- Provide guidance to them in case they face any challenges.
- Coordinate any group or individual counselling/mentoring sessions.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks such as record keeping, report writing, and documentation with respect to the program.

**Experience**:

- must have experience working with children leaving childcare institutions/young adults. - must have experience working with children/young adults in difficult circumstances. - must have experience dealing and resolving problems with stakeholders at the local level. - should preferably have knowledge of the childcare ecosystem.

**Soft Skills**:

- Empathy and Patience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to listen to and establish a rapport with young people
- Approachable and available to young people

**Hard skills**:

- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
