Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

Reports To: Logistics Manager / Operations Manager

Experience: 2-3 Years

Summary:
As a Logistics Supervisor you're responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods from origin to destination. This role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Fleet Management**:

- Oversee the daily maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles.
- Ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor fuel consumption and driver behavior to optimize fuel efficiency.
- **Transportation Management**:

- Plan and execute long-distance shipments, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any delays or issues.
- Optimize routes and schedules to improve delivery efficiency and minimize costs.
- **Team Management**:

- Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, drivers, and other logistics personnel.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
- Ensure employee safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- **Cost Control**:

- Negotiate rates with carriers and freight forwarders to minimize transportation costs.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures in all aspects of logistics operations.
- **Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

2-3 years of hands-on experience in logistics, transportation, or warehousing.

Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Experience with TMS and WMS software is a plus.

Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
