**Job description**:

- We are looking for a senior technologist with expert-level knowledge of digital marketing, e-commerce, customer relationship management, integration, DevOps technology, and cloud computing. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the solution design and architecture across mobile, web, marketing and e-commerce solutions and the integrations they require.
- This is a delivery focused role, reporting to the Enterprise Architect, Digital & e-Commerce. You will be accountable for the solution design of all solutions delivered within a division in the digital and e-commerce domains and driving reusability on a global scale. You will be working with internal and external delivery and development teams to ensure the reference architecture and strategy is understood and incrementally delivered in each project. You will have to manage tactical vs target state trade-offs to ensure delivery is achieved without the addition of technical debt. The role will require a strong technical background covering the full stack and interacting with business as well as technical stakeholders.
- The architect is responsible for defining and maintaining the structure of the solution and ensuring that it will meet the requirements. This architect will function in an agile environment and must also help the teamwork together in an agile fashion, jointly own the solution, and interface well with other parts of the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design reliable, scalable, and performant end-to-end architectures - functional, data, technology
- Provide technical support for analysis of business requirements, and applicability to the current or planned platform capabilities
- Experience with technical programming; capable of programming and implementing various technical solutions
- Work with cross-functional teams to triage issues related to reliability, availability, stability & performance
- Serve as a technical liaison between the business, project team and developers/testers
- Provide inputs to create Agile user stories based on business requirements
- Leverage industry knowledge and stay close to technology developments in the open-source and cloud communities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Practice and enforce Agile and Scrum development methodologies

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Computer Science degree preferred
- 10 - 12+ years of Information Technology experience
- Proven years of Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE / J2EE), Apache Kafka, Java Spring Framework development experience
- Strong experience with high volume B2C / B2B eCommerce systems
- Proven hands-on experience with GCP, Node, React and Next.js
- Strong functional knowledge in e-commerce B2B/B2C user/order/customer/product flows/integration
- Extensive experience working with enterprise-level systems and cloud eCommerce platforms
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to translate technical software solutions to non-technical clients
- Knowledge of the design and use of a microservice architecture is required
- Experience in Agile Scrum methodology / Process
- Ability to lead teams to provide high-performance code reviews and troubleshoot all software development issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
