**Job Summary**

Responsible for implementing and supervising day-to-day activities of the Procurement department. Responsible for ensuring proper external procurement, sourcing and contracting of goods and services. Ensures department procedures and objectives are to Company standards. Customarily and regularly directs the work of at least two or more other full-time employees or their equivalent.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Supervises a team of Buyers, Analysts and Clerks in the daily functions of purchasing and procurement.
- Maintains and administers existing purchasing agreements and monitors usage and compliance. Maintains vendor relationships.
- Reviews and approves purchase orders within authorized limits.
- Monitors status of purchase orders and requisitions and develops reports to track the timeliness of processing the requests.
- Conducts purchasing activities in conjunction with user departments to maintain optimum inventory and buy-levels.
- Oversees all Buyer account negotiations.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
