**Key Roles and Responsibilities - A typical working day will include the following activities**:

- **Manage Cloud & On-Premise Infrastructure**
- Oversee the design, implementation and management of AWS and Azure infrastructure working with our in-house PARIS development team and vendors
- Manage and maintain Active Directory across multiple locations, including user accounts, group policies, and permissions.
- Optimise cloud resources for performance, cost-efficiency, and security
- Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including patching, updates, and performance tuning
- Oversee Cisco Meraki network infrastructure, including configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring
- **System Administration**
- Implement and maintain system security measures aligning with our Cybersecurity team (part of IT)
- Monitor system performance and resource utilisation
- Perform system backups and disaster recovery planning - for both on-premise and cloud environments
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- **Driving improvements and changes**
- Problem Management: Proactively reviewing common incidents performing root cause analysis and determine solutions to address and land these changes across the team
- Landing projects to deliver improvements to the system landscape - infrastructure and user-facing enhancements
- Vendor Management: Actively participate in monthly service reviews with vendors by sharing key points and areas for improvement. Manage procurement of equipment/licences obtaining best value for money for Fleet

**Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications**
**ESSENTIAL**
- **5+ years’ experience** in a hands-on IT Systems Administrator role, specifically including:

- Direct experience of managing Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra - including PowerShell scripting
- Cloud administration in an AWS environment (as well as Google Cloud or Azure)
- Building / Managing of Linux instances (preferably CentOS or RedHat)
- Strong analysis skills - to identify root causes and problems putting in place continuous improvement actions to reduce impact
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Vendor Management - experience of working in close partnership with vendors to deliver solutions in meeting customer and non-functional (availability, security, etc) goals
- Practical experience with IT asset management and automation tools such as Endpoint Central

**DESIRABLE**
- Experience of handling updates on Meraki/Cisco or other next-gen firewalls and Linux instances
- Industry certifications in:

- Microsoft MCSE, Microsoft 365,
- AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- ITIL v3 or v4
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Familiar with security standards such as ISO27001/NIST/CIS
- Database Administration - familiar with regular DBA tasks on Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, etc
