Production Designer

As a **Production Designer** at Target,
- You will be responsible for executing and extending design programs for both Digital and Print (brochures, print ads) channels for Target's portfolio of exclusive brand offerings, while maintaining consistent brand standards, with a high level of design finesse.
- This role focuses on Digital-first; you will need deep expertise of digital best practices, design tools and software in order to build efficiency and scale into the work.
- You will collaborate with creative teams in concepting and creating layouts, executing layout revisions, establishing toolkits or style guides, creating schematics or mock-ups & presentation decks for partner and leadership reviews.
- You will need to quickly comprehend large amounts of information and build simplified, well-designed visual presentations in any given presentation software. You should also be able to recommend the latest styles and techniques for the most impactful presentations.
- You must be experienced in photo and video shoot production. You should be able to collaborate and gather knowledge, in order to create robust pre-production decks, while driving efficiency and speed.
- You may also need to attend local photo shoots with creative teams to provide design support, execute on-set layout revisions and sometimes, assist with co-ordination and process.
- You will manage and execute project assets, image retouching and cropping, create keyline ready-files while working with separators/vendor partners. You will assist in proofing print ready mechanical files or web ready deliverables prior to live dates.
- You will manage all production design details in order to meet project deadlines and successfully integrate and balance big picture with day to day work.

About you:

- 4-year college degree and/or equivalent experience
- 4-8 years of experience at fast-paced environments like Ad Agencies, Retail e-comm (or equivalent)
- Expertise with iOS/MAC computer systems
- Deep expertise of Design (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Presentation tools (PPT, KeyNote)
- Basic knowledge of process and data visualization tools (excel).
- Strong success rate of receiving and interpreting design direction from creative partners.
- Proven track record of operating effectively, efficiently and with mínimal direction through ambiguity.
- Established success in simultaneously organizing and managing multiple large and small projects.
- Stays current on emerging style, graphic and industry trends, innovation, and advancement in the fields of branding, design, as well as tools and technology used to perform role.
