**Responsibilities**:

- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and enhance student understanding of social studies concepts.
- Facilitate meaningful classroom discussions and activities that encourage students to analyze primary and secondary sources, evaluate historical perspectives, and make connections between past events and contemporary issues.
- Integrate current events, multimedia resources, and real-world examples into lessons to make social studies content relevant and engaging for students.
- Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments, including tests, projects, essays, presentations, and debates, and provide timely feedback to support student growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the social studies department and across disciplines to develop interdisciplinary units, cross-curricular projects, and school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, share resources for supporting learning at home, and address any concerns or questions.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness, stay current with best practices in social studies education, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the social studies program.
- Engage in school-wide activities and events, such as parent-teacher conferences, curriculum nights, and extracurricular clubs or organizations, to support the overall mission and culture of the school community.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Prior experience teaching social studies at the middle school or high school level, with a demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, parents/guardians, and community stakeholders.
- Technological proficiency, including experience using educational technology tools and platforms to enhance instruction and communication.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Madurai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
