As a Commi 1 in a multi-cuisine kitchen, preparation of various dishes from different cuisines. Here's a more detailed breakdown of your responsibilities:
Food Preparation: You'll be responsible for preparing ingredients and executing cooking techniques according to the recipes and standards set by the head chef or kitchen manager. This includes chopping, slicing, dicing, marinating, and other basic food preparation tasks.

Cooking: You'll be involved in cooking different types of dishes, ranging from appetizers and soups to main courses and desserts. This may involve grilling, sautéing, frying, baking, steaming, or any other cooking methods relevant to the cuisine being prepared.

Recipe Adherence: Ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to the specified recipes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.

Quality Control: Monitoring food quality throughout the cooking process, ensuring that ingredients are fresh and properly stored, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in your workstation.

Team Collaboration: Working closely with other kitchen staff, such as sous chefs, chefs de partie, and kitchen assistants, to coordinate food preparation and service efficiently.

Inventory Management: Assisting in inventory management by keeping track of ingredient levels, informing the chef or supervisor of shortages, and participating in stocktaking activities.

Adaptability: Being flexible and adaptable to work across various sections of the kitchen and being willing to learn and master new cooking techniques and recipes.

Safety and Sanitation: Adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of food items and adherence to sanitation protocols.

Speed and Efficiency: Working efficiently to meet service deadlines and ensuring that all orders are prepared in a timely manner without compromising on quality.

Communication: Communicating effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of orders.
