**Job Title**: Restaurant Host/Hostess

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Warm Reception**: Greet guests with a genuine smile and soft-spoken demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and welcomed.
- **Seating Management**: Efficiently manage the seating chart, escort guests to their tables, and present menus while accommodating special requests and managing wait times.
- **Reservation Handling**: Professionally handle phone and online reservations, making necessary adjustments to accommodate guests' needs.
- **Guest Interaction**: Address inquiries and provide information about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies with clarity and politeness.
- **Waitlist Coordination**: Maintain and update the waitlist, keeping guests informed of estimated wait times and available seating options.
- **Operational Efficiency**: Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure the smooth flow of service and address any operational issues promptly.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness**: Keep the host stand and entrance area tidy and organized, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
- **Conflict Resolution**: Resolve guest concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating to management when necessary.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred, but not required.
- **Communication Skills**: Exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and courteously.
- **Personality**: Soft-spoken with a friendly and approachable demeanor, adept at creating a positive and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail to manage various front-of-house responsibilities effectively.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with reservation and seating management systems is a plus, but not required.
- **Appearance**: Professional and polished appearance, adhering to the restaurant's dress code.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
