About Us
As an Information Security Intern, you will assist our team in implementing and managing security measures to protect our organization's computer systems, networks, and data. This role provides hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of information security.
**Requirements**:
As an Information Security Intern, you will:
- Assist in developing and implementing security measures to protect the organization's computer systems, networks, and data.
- Support security audits and risk assessments by gathering and analyzing data.- Monitor SIEM or equivalent tool and report incidents and events
- Assist in configuring and troubleshooting security infrastructure devices.
- Help in preparing and documenting standard operating procedures and protocols.
- Participate in incident response activities and post-incident analyses.- Assist in researching and recommending new security technologies.
- Collaborates with users to discuss computer data access needs, identify security threats and violations, and identify and recommend needed programming or process changes.- Safeguards system security and improves overall server and network efficiency by training users and promoting security awareness.
- Determines when to update virus protection systems by monitoring current reports of computer viruses; facilitates or performs needed updates.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
