**Job Description Summary**: Lawyers and non-lawyers supporting the commercial side of the business including contract development and agreement management, external customer sales of products and services, government contracting. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Lawyers and attorneys supporting commercial activities.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May steer small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
- Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data research. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at conclusions.

**Required Qualifications**
- This role requires advanced experience in the Legal & Commercial Counsels. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
- Degree in Law, qualified to practice in India.
- Experience, with a law firm and/or corporate legal department of a reputed business organisation
- Experience in dispute resolution (litigation and/or arbitration) for commercial contracts, with experience and ability to assess underlying commercial claims on merits is a must. Exposure to international arbitration matters would be desirable.
- Experience & strong skills in drafting and finalizing commercial contracts is important, previous exposure to the power sector would be desirable
- Experience in dealing with labour compliance/litigation would be an added advantage

- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Flexibility, ability to deal with ambiguity, and resolve legal issues quickly and effectively.
- Ability to cope with pressure and multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Able to build excellent working relationships within a matrix environment (both cross-functionally and globally)
