Remote, India Coinbase Full time

We’re Coinbase. We’re the world’s most trusted way to join the crypto revolution, serving more than 89 million accounts in more than 100 countries.

Our mission is to increase economic freedom around the world, and we couldn’t do this without hiring the best people. We’re a group of hard-working overachievers who are deeply focused on building the future of finance and Web 3.0 for our users across the globe, whether they’re trading, storing, staking or using crypto. Know those people who always lead the group project? That’s us.

Ready to #LiveCrypto? Who you are:

- You’ve got positive energy. You’re optimistic about the future and determined to get there.
- You’re never tired of learning. You want to be a pro in bleeding edge tech like DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, and Web 3.0.
- You appreciate direct communication. You’re both an active communicator and an eager listener - because let’s face it, you can’t have one without the other. You’re cool with candid feedback and see every setback as an opportunity to grow.
- You can pivot on the fly. Crypto is constantly evolving, so our priorities do, too. What you worked on last month may not be what you work on today, and that excites you. You’re not looking for a boring job.
- You have a “can do” attitude. Our teams create high-quality work on quick timelines. Owning a problem doesn’t scare you, but rather empowers you to take 100% responsibility for achieving our mission.
- You want to be part of a winning team. We’re stronger together, and you’re a person who embraces being pushed out of your comfort zone.

We are looking for an Associate Generalist to join our People Ops team. The People Operations Associate Generalist will be responsible for supporting Coinbase’s HR operations (eg: onboarding, offboarding, employee inquiries, and People Ops process and policies). This role is critical to enable our business growth and further our mission of creating economic freedom to the world.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

- Participate in department and cross functional projects.
- Manage and improve business critical People processes (eg: new hires, promotions, terminations, relocations) and other job changes (Workday, facilitation and documentation).
- Share ownership over our employee-facing People support channel via the team’s ticketing queue.
- Manage first level escalations.
- Train new team members.
- Document and maintain process procedures for the People Operations team.
- Develop and maintain employee self-service resources (Confluence).
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports extracting data from HR systems.
- Responsible for ensuring HRIS (Workday) is up-to-date at all times.
- Provide support for systems data audits and communicate required changes to IT, Payroll and other departments as needed.
- Ensure Legal compliance in all related areas.
- Support new entity set-ups and country launches under direction of others.
- Support other team members on ad hoc projects.
- Support global team with external audits and business continuity processes

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

- 3+ years of high-volume HR experience, preferably in shared services or HR coordinator/administrator role.
- Strong knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
- Passion for delivering world-class customer service with a welcoming attitude and focused attentiveness to customer needs while managing within defined SLAs.
- Experience identifying opportunities within processes, suggesting user focused improvements, and influencing cross-functional teams to drive these changes.
- Ability to tease meaning from data and use it to drive recommendations and decision making.
- Experience with Google suite, Workday, Confluence, Slack, or equivalent.
- Ability to demonstrate ethical and professional conduct at all times.
- Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks requiring rigorous and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Good understanding of current regulations

Nice to haves:

- Experience in startup culture - comfortable with ambiguity and non-stop problem solving, building, and action.
- Experience with Jira or other ticketing tools.
- Experience working with multiple time zones and countries.
