**Roles and Responsibilities**
End User support for Citrix Linux and Windows VDI in a 24*7 production environment.
Shifts can be rotational/permanent.
Collaborate with other technical teams to solve problems and continually evolve the technology.
Respond to alerts, reported issues and escalate problems as required.
Troubleshooting issues related to LDAP, AD, NFS, Network and XenServers.
Create/modify scripts to quicken troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
Prepare and maintain documentation of issues and resolutions.
- End User support for R&D on Windows Platform
Respond to alerts, reported issues and escalate problems as required.
Troubleshooting issues related to Windows OS & Basic Virtualization.
Create/modify scripts to quicken troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
Prepare and maintain documentation of issues and resolutions
- Basic understanding of Windows OS & Citrix XenDesktop Architecture:

- Backend components - Delivery Controller, Storefront, PVS
- Citrix VDA registration and session launch flow (specifically Linux VDI)

Experience in configuring and using XenServers / VMware ESXI, knowledge of networking for virtual machines.
Scripting Knowledge in PowerShell, Perl, Python, Shell
Knowledge of Linux & Windows operating systems.
Knowledge on OS Deployment & Patching
Knowledge on Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, subnetting, routing and DHCP etc.
Knowledge on infrastructure services like AD, LDAP, SAMBA, NFS, X-display troubleshooting.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical users.
Academic degree in Engineering.
